McM Apple Pie


Kembali lagi kita di dapur Miss Marvellous. hewhew. Soorrry for a late post!

By the way, siapa da habis puasa 6? Angkat keyboard! haha. Okay, I just start today and it was like, worst sahur I have ever had! Sebab macam sakit kat perut sebelah kiri ni masa bangun sahur. lepas tu, makan pun sikit. Kalau ikutkan, mmg x layak nak puasa la kan? sebab takut memudaratkan diri. However, I just tried to fast till the end of the day.. Even ade rasa sakit tu sikit2, so, sleep is the best cure! :D

For today's iftar, I made apple pie! Cari punya cari resipi yang simple, so, i found from Arianna 100 Recipes Challenge! Have a try ya! Btw, ni semua sbb craving for McD's Apple Pie yesterday and because we need to boycott them, without refuse, I just bought all the ingredients at supermarket and do home-made version! :D

And, as this is my first time making apple pie or any pie in the world.. =.=' Play safe to choose the ready made pie crust instead of making my own. Maybe next time when I am really ready to play with the flour then I'll give a second think of making my own! :D

McM Apple Pie (about 8 pcs)

  • 2 Granny Smith apples (green apples) (cut in the form of small cube)
  • Ready made pie crust (can get at the frozen section in the supermarket)
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 3/4 tablespoon of flour
  • 3/4 tablespoon of butter (if guna buttercup, just slice a thin of butter)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon ground
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • Raw sugar
  • 1 egg


1. Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon and add it to the small cube form apples. Mixed well. Add butter and a pinch of salt to taste. Then cook in pan with 1/2 cup of water until the apples turn brown.

2. Preheat the oven to 170'C
3. Place the pie crust on a lightly floured surface and roll with rolling pin the pastry square. It just to make it thin and x muak with tebal pastry! But, please don't so thin, make it average.
4. Spoon a bit of the apple pie filling on one side of the square, making sure not to go to the edges.

5. Fold the pastry in half and gently seal the edges with your fingers. take a fork and crimp the edges of the pie closed. Using a knife, carefully trim off the uneven edges.

Ready to bake!

5. Slice vents into top of each pie. Brush the tops of each pie with the egg wash. Sprinkle each pie with sugar.
6. Place into the oven and bake for 10-15minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and cool on a baking rack.
7. Ready to serve!

Jemput makan! Okay. abaikan yg gelap tu.
can you see that hangus? okay. sorry. sebab tersetting timing lama - 20minutes. Should be 10-15minutes. However, it depends on your oven! :D
