It's all about Marru!

Salam.

Hi guys! Long time no update here!

Do you know?

There is a person used to call me Marru  (まる, Japanese: circle or round. =)

And, just now, I made a research about this. Kind of boring because of no class whole day today. hehe.

1st Source: <<click this and onwards<<

Maru means 'Round' or 'Perfection', and is used as a suffix for some names. I.e., Orochimaru, Shikamaru and Zabimaru. (From the 'Naruto' and 'Bleach' animes.)

Nowadays, however, it is hardly used.

Maru  is a male Scottish Fold cat in Japan who has become popular on YouTube.

The word maru ( meaning "circle"?) is often attached to Japanese ship names. The first ship known to follow this convention was the Nippon Maru, flagship of daimyo Toyotomi Hideyoshi's 16th century fleet. There are several theories which purport to explain this practice:
  • The most common is that ships were thought of as floating castles, and the word referred to the defensive "circles" or maru that protected the castle.
  • That the suffix -maru is often applied to words representing something that is beloved, and sailors applied this suffix to their ships.
  • That the term maru is used in divination and represents perfection or completeness, or the ship as a small world of its own.
  • A legend of Hakudo Maru, a celestial being that came to earth and taught humans how to build ships. It is said that the name maru is attached to a ship to secure celestial protection for it as it travels.
  • For the past few centuries, only non-warships bore the maru ending. It was intended to be used as a good hope naming convention that would allow the ship to leave port, travel the world, and return safely to home port: hence the complete circle arriving back to its origin unhurt.
Today commercial and private ships are still named using this convention.
It appears that you are a fan of the Tenchu game series. Me to! Maru is a suffix added to a name. It literally means "round" or "circle". Some examples: rikimaru, tatsumaru, semimaru, etc.

I have been told that it isn't very common now a days. It's a rather old or antique name suffix. There are some names that have grown out of style in japan, for instance: Sanosuke =P

Hence, the conclusions I can conclude are:

1. Maybe, the Miss Perfectionist nickname is related to me. hoho. yeah. Asma' said when I was ironing my clothes, and there is still a-bit-of-unseen-wrinkles on the clothes, I still want to iron the wrinkle to make it disappear! =.= But, yeah, there still BUT, when I totally in lazy mood to go anywhere, then, I will iron the clothes nonchalantly.
2. I have round face! haha. My sister used to call me 'muka bulat' when I want to wear my scarf during kindergarten long times ago. I don't like to wear my kiddie scarf because of the stitching on the face is tight and my face is not enough to accomodate into! eei. Then, I cried and moody in the car. When arrived at my kindergarten, I smiled back! Sebab da jumpa kawan2, nak main2~ =)
3. I don't like cat. Just don't like, okay. Don't misunderstand. I'm not the one that like to bully animals. I'm afraid that they will attack me after that! hoho. Moreover, we -my family-, don't have any pet at our home. Only koi fish are available at my home. That one is my father's.
4. Protected. em. I just want to get the protection! What I mean is I want someone special that can protect me from any attack. Haha. Nonsense! Right now, I don't find yet the one that can truly protect me except my family.
5. Beloved. em. I don't sure about this. If I love someone, I don't sure if they love me or not. Mcm sedih kan? Let me tell the truth, I'm a loyal person. Just tell me, you love me or not, then, I will love you ever! Is it okay, my dear friends? =p

Okay. That's all from me! I really feel energetic to have tomorrow! =)

P/s: 1. For the first time I heard, it sounds weird. after that, I really appreciate for my new nickname. It's special, unique!
2. Marru, maru.. aaa~ approximately la.. hehe =)
